We will start our trip by skirting the beautiful east coast of Lipari and, after about forty minutes, we will make our first stop at the Bay of Cala Junco in Panarea, where you can dive into its crystal-clear waters. Before taking a sightseeing break of about two hours in the picturesque village of Panarea, we will visit all its islets: Basiluzzo, Dattilo, Bottaro, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera, Spinazzola, Panarelli and le Formiche. The latter appear as large rocks or little more, but are what remains of ancient volcanoes before they became extinct and sank. It is thought that all the smaller islets were once joined by the mainland and formed a large island together with Panarea itself. Today they are declared a nature reserve and landing is prohibited except for scientific purposes.
In Panarea, you can enjoy a delicious granita at 'Carola' or stroll through the island's colourful alleyways.
We will continue along Ginostra and, after arriving in Stromboli, we will stay there for about three hours. There you can sunbathe on the beautiful black sand beach or choose to take a pleasant walk to the panoramic square and enjoy a tasty aperitif. Then we continue to Strombolicchio, a volcanic islet, and skirting its jagged sea cliffs we wait for the sun to set. Finally, we will head towards the famous Sciara del Fuoco to watch the spectacle offered by the majestic "Iddu", sipping the typical Malvasia delle Lipari offered by us.
We will return to Lipari in the late evening.
An excursion not to be missed!
It is moreover possible to organise excursions with climbing to Stromboli up to a maximum height of 400 metres, in which case the timetable may change.
