The fascinating crossing to the enchanting island of Filicudi will give you an unforgettable experience! We will pass among the majestic Faraglioni and skirt the lush Salina, until we reach the magnificent Grotta del Bue Marino of Filicudi: the largest of the Aeolian Islands, made special by a phenomenon of bioluminescence due to tiny unicellular organisms that almost seem to glow in that blue sea where you can enjoy a refreshing bathing break.
We will continue by taking the route to the Faraglioni near Filicudi: Montenassari, a small islet adjacent to the Canna, the Giafante rock which is the result of a volcanic eruption and whose name derives from the Sicilian dialect due to its resemblance to an elephant, and the Canna the largest volcanic neck of the beautiful Aeolian Islands composed of basaltic rock.
Once disembarked at the harbour, you will have the opportunity to visit the prehistoric village of Capo Graziano or dive into its crystal-clear waters, explore the characteristic village of Pecorini, or reach the summit of Monte Guardia, the ideal place to admire the enchantment of all six islands and the Sicilian coastline. After seeing the ancient millstone wheels, we depart for Alicudi in the early afternoon.
Alicudi is the most unspoilt island in the archipelago: there are no roads and the only means of transport are mules. There you can explore its quaint village, which is the least populated of the seven islands, stroll along the picturesque mule track, or cool off in the clear waters of the island.
You will return in the late afternoon, with wonderful memories of the wildest of the Aeolian Islands and, if you are lucky, the unforgettable experience of encountering their characteristic marine fauna, such as cetaceans and sea turtles.
